ABOUT THE COUPLE
Some weddings are close to the brief. This one was close to the heart. When the groom is one of your own, the pressure’s personal, but so is the joy. Kriyanshu & Sushmitha wanted to keep it simple but with a splash of filmy. With a brief that said “a touch of extra” and a love for all things desi, their wedding in Pune turned into a full-blown Bollywood celebration, packed with emotion, drama, and pure joy.
GARBA NIGHT
When the bride’s a dancer with a craze for Garba, there’s only one right way to start the celebrations – a Garba Night. We kicked things off with a traditional aarti, and then let the beats take over. With vibrant decor that matched the energy on the floor, the night was a riot of colour, twirls, and unapologetic dancing. Pure joy, pure desi, and 100% Sushmitha.
MAYRA
The Mayra brought in all the colour & culture that we love. The brothers arrived in style with a baraat & dhol – while the heart of the home, Sushmitha’s mom, made her entrance in a beautifully decorated doli – stealing the show in the sweetest way. With decor inspired by the playful swirls of leheriya and emotional highs, it was a wholesome nod to tradition, wrapped in joy and loud beats.
SANGEET
Straight out of a bollywood movie – think high energy performances, big emotions, and even bigger moves. The groom owned the stage like the star he was, a proposal that melted hearts, cake to sweeten the moment, and dedications that had the whole crowd soft. The night ended on a high note – Puru Live brought the beats, and the crowd brought the moves.
TURF GAMES
The turf turned into a playground as Team Kriyanshu and Team Sushmitha showed up in custom tees with caps, flags, and whistles – ready for war, but make it playful. From tug-of-war to mini relays, this throwback to childhood made for a morning of chaos, chuckles, and just the right amount of competitive spirit.
SAJJAN GOTH
An ode to tradition and grace – our Sajjan Goth was elegance served on a platter. With fine cutlery, a beautifully styled setup, and warmth in every detail, this meal was all about celebrating the families coming together. As a gesture of love, we gifted sarees to every woman present – because some traditions deserve to be felt, not just followed.
VARMALA
With the couple’s wedding logo taking centre stage on a striking yantra backdrop, every detail was woven in with dori, tying the moment together in the most symbolic way.
Before the bride made her big, beautiful entrance, a flutist filled the air with soulful tunes, while our emcee set the tone with a script that felt like a love letter to the couple & guests joined in with damrus – building a rhythm that echoed the excitement in the air. Then came the moment – a pyro sequence timed to perfection, a dreamy haze of love, and a varmala exchange that left us with goosebumps. It wasn’t just picture perfect – it was personal, poetic, and packed with emotion. The kind of magic you feel, not just see.
WEDDING
Wrapped in love – quite literally. Much like the Varmala, The wedding carried the dori theme beautifully, with a mandap laced in threads of meaning & florals.
Adding a touch of old school hospitality, boys with chilamchi lotas went around offering hand washes to guests, a Ring for Dori booth where every ring of the bell meant a sacred thread tied on your wrist all while a flutist played through the vows with soft, soulful notes.
